Grand Forks Official Community Plan, City of Grand Forks, BC (2020-2022)

MVH won the proposal to complete the update of the Official Community Plan (OCP) for the City of Grand Forks in south-central British Columbia. A significant flood in 2018 devastated the community in the Downtown area. Planning a climate-resilient future was a key building block for the community. MVH, along with his group of specialized consultants, restructured the OCP and clarified process and policy language so it was comprehensive yet readily accessible for staff, council, developers, and citizens. Along with the OCP, MVH was also retained to complete the Wayfinding Plan and Flood Bylaw as well as the North Ruckle Park Design Charrette described separately in another project profile.
