- Upcoming New Book (early 2012):
Michael von Hausen will publish a new 300-page book in early 2012 entitled: Dynamic Urban Design: Creating Sustainable Communities Worldwide that combines progressive urban design theory and practice. He has also created a refreshed and updated September 2011 edition of the 160-page book Eco-Plan: Community Ecological Planning and Sustainable Design.
- Master Plan In Russia (2011):
MVH was selected by Dalta 1 Corp. of Vladivostok, Russia to complete a 400 hectare master plan in June 2011. The new community – Daltagrad, will house over 20,000 residents. MVH completed a preliminary land use concept for the site on behalf of Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation for the Russian Housing Development Foundation in September 2010.

- MVH Reappointed Adjunct Professor at SFU (2012-2016):
Michael von Hausen has been reappointed Adjunct Professor in the Graduate Urban Studies Program at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Columbia for another 5 year term. In 2011, Michael facilitated a special week-long “Enquiry by Design” with the Prince’s Foundation from the U.K. Michael is also chief instructor and curriculum coordinator of the national award winning Urban Design Certificate Program at Simon Fraser University’s City Program. He teaches mid-career professionals all aspects of urban design in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and Ottawa.
- MVH Receives Award of Excellence (2010) :
MVH and the City of Langley receives the Award of Excellence (top award) from the Planning Institute of British Columbia for the City of Langley Downtown Master Plan. View

Plans
MVH has created 7 new downtown plans including the City of Red Deer, City of Leduc, City of Medicine Hat, and the Town High River in Alberta; and the City of Langley, City of Chilliwack, and the Village of Pemberton in British Columbia since 2007. See Projects

MVH just completed a new community for 25,000-30,000 residents in Krasnoyarsk,
Russia.

- MVH goes to China (2006):
Michael von Hausen was chosen to represent Canada on a mission to Shanghai,
China for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation in May 2006. The Canadian
delegation of experts worked with the Shanghai Land Company to improve
the sustainable design for a new community (Gucun) that will house 150,000
people just outside the City.
